Who doesn’t love beautiful photography? A strong foreground with a unique background. Vibrant colors, the perfect contrast. Well, I love photography and I appreciate its beautiful.
The question is should you use your own photography, professional photography, or stock photos?
Photography may not be your thing and that’s completely fine. I am not a professional trained photographer but I am a creative person in general (well, obviously because I’m a graphic designer). Because I am a creative person, I feel comfortable being in the photography process. For me, I like to be a part of the creative process with a photographer or with my digital SLR camera, I take my own photos. I have no problem researching the best practices for scenery and ways to take great shots.
If none of this sounds like fun to you, instead of taking photos or getting a photographer, find and use great stock photos. Maybe it doesn’t sound too bad, but you don’t consider yourself a creative person or you don’t have much knowledge about photography. If you also don’t feel motivated to learn about photography, use stock photos.
